Easter message

I went to the local shops this morning (Good Friday) and was accosted by two very good natured young men who asked me to help out with their art project.    They had a plank of wood with some words written in red and they asked me to bang in a nail on any part of the lettering.   Always keen to let out some agression, I wielded the hammer!     I asked them what it was about and they asked me to read the letters, which made out the words ‘FOR YOU’.   They were from the local church and asked me to think about what Easter meant to me.

I then went into a shop and overheard a young boy asking his mother to buy some chocolate ‘because that is what Easter is about’.

I’m not at all religious, but it really did amuse me to have two such polar viewpoints in a matter of five minutes.
