2012 is upon us and I am wondering how many people make resolutions? More importantly; how many people keep them?
I notice every year how busy the gym is during early January compared to the end of January when the eagerness has worn off.
I have a reward system in place for gym visits in that I put a star sticker on my kitchen calendar every time I go. It may be childish, but it works for me!
I recently became Co-Chair of the Cardiff NLP Group. The group meets monthly in Insole Court in Llandaff in Cardiff; we have speakers on a variety of subjects likely to be of interest to anyone that wants to learn more about NLP.
Anyone is welcome to attend and the easiest way to receive updates on news and events is by joining the Facebook group on the following link:-
The aim of the group is to meet up with others that have an interest in NLP for practice and some socialising. Please feel free to email me if you would like more details email@example.com
A friend and I were (showing our ages) complaining about the poor grammar and punctuation used by young people. She had received a job application from a degree student that was so poorly written it barely made sense.
At the moment I am writing copy for some mailshots and advertising that I’ll be sending out over the next few days. The purpose is to promote sales courses to a variety of businesses.
It’s made me think about words and phrases that may appeal to different generations. Are young people as put off by perfect grammar as I am by poor punctuation? Should I try using text speak? Don’t think I can bring myself to do it……..
